In3 Project Finance options by cost

In3’s main project funding options in order of least to highest up-front costs:

  1. Our flagship program (overview, FAQ or get started) provides expedited capital for projects of $25 million or more that seek a combination of low APR debt and equity with no up-front fees — but please review our requirements. Currently, initial vetting, due diligence, and even getting under contract for CAP funding is at no cost when you arrange your own Completion Assurance guarantee.  For premium services, see item #2, below, or go here.  Or view What makes CAP different?, 1-page CAP “teaser”, or CAP funding synopsis.

  2. Via In3 Management Services to advise on your best options for funding.  We can help you identify and arrange debt only, equity only, tax equity investors, venture capital, convertible instruments, financial instruments, or hybrids of these with no preset minimums.  For highly-qualified projects in our sweet spot, we may also be able to assist with arranging a guarantor for you (called Done For You or DFY) on a fee-for-services basis.

  3. Alternative funding pathways include several project loan and/or equity options, up to 100% loan-to-cost (LTC) with interest rates currently ~5% to 8% APR, depending on IRRThese all require a cash security deposit (such as into an escrow account), refundable if the project’s funding does not go forward.  Lower APRs require larger deposits and/or higher IRRs.  Note that none of the deposit goes to In3.  Each lender uses their own criteria, following more stringent guidelines than CAP funding.  Though these 100% LTC programs are not as demanding as banks and institutional loans, our private lenders and equity investors do uphold project finance industry standards. Be prepared for full disclosure and transparency about how financial projections were derived, proper (IFRS or GAAP) accounting, and risk analysis and mitigation plans.
